The artistic vision that resulted in the founding of Salon Mona Lisa in 2000 was fueled by the talented Norma Segoviano. Norma’s passion to bring expert hairstyle and beauty experience enjoyed by high fashion models and stars, to the everyday man or woman is the driving force behind the salon.
To understand Norma’s passion we look to how SML received its name. SML was birthed when Norma ended a high energy trade show in New York, as a member of Sebastian’s international artistic team. After a long day of make-up applications to top models at the show, she slung her wardrobe across the room and telephoned her business partner to decide on the name of the new salon. At that moment, appeared a photo on USA Today newspaper of the Mona Lisa. The portrait shared space with news of the stock market and depicted an artist’s depiction of a regular woman, simple, elegant but admired as an image of beauty for decades since its commission. This is the effect Norma leaves on her clients who enter the salon. Whether they come in for a touch up or a change, they enter feel plain and ordinary, then leave with a lift of inspiration and accents of beauty.
At Salon Mona Lisa, we create, we don't duplicate.
